A long overdue review, I have stayed at koh shanti for about 12/13 months in total over the past two years, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in lamai. Its a small family run business and the owners really care, always maintaining and upgrading the place. The pictures are accurate and its a very quiet and peaceful place to stay. Cannot recommend enough ❤️

Stayed here for 3 months and honestly felt at home from the start. Super friendly atmosphere, cute little dogs around, and owners who are always caring, helpful, and easy to talk to. This is definitely not a party guesthouse — the vibe is more relaxed and long-term, with lots of fitness and Muay Thai people staying here. Perfect if you want a peaceful place with good energy. Another big plus: it’s close to an authentic local Thai street with amazing food, small shops, and real local life around you.

Had a really good experience staying here for 30 days while training Muay Thai nearby. Everyone there was really friendly letting me settle in straight away.

Wonderful stay. You can feel the calm and friendly energy from the very moment you step into this beautiful place :) A spacious, open area that allows you to spend whole days outside, surrounded by nature - whether you prefer to work, read a book, meditate, gather with friends or simply relax. The owners are incredibly kind and always helpful with everything. Perfect location—quiet and tucked away, right by the jungle with a stunning view, yet only a five-minute walk from the main street in Lamai. There is everything you need in the room - aircondition, big bed, bathroom, basic cook equipment and easy access to fix laundry whenever you want :) I loved it so much, hope I can be back one day

I had the best time ever at Koh Shanti. Stayed there while doing a fitness camp and really liked everything about it. Jo and her family are just so lovely and it feels like home from the first second. Really liked the calm atmosphere and the location right next to the jungle. Rooms included everything you need :) Can really recommend to everyone.

Amazing place to stay. Extremely peaceful and feels like a second home when you're there. Rooms are very clean and everyone is incredibly friendly & helpful. Highly recommend to anyone in Koh Samui.

Love this place so much! It’s off the main road so it’s quiet at night but it’s within walking distance to Lamai beach, gym & bars and restaurants. The view from the back is beautiful jungle scenery, of course you get the odd bug as it’s Thailand but they get the whole place sprayed once a month so mosquitoes and insects aren’t really an issue. The landlords Jo & Jib are so lovely! They go out of their way to help you and make sure everything is running smoothly and they have three amazing dogs that are so friendly and even though they stay separately you usually get the chance to say hello at least once a day. It’s a really chilled friendly place- highly recommend!

This is our second time here. It's clean, tidy, and quiet. The pool is clean, and the grounds are green. There are two outdoor gazebos and sun loungers. The rooms have everything you need, including a toaster, stovetop, and microwave. The owners are very welcoming.
